25 Goals 10 Assists Arsenal Target Signs Four Years Deal, To Earn £80,000-A-Week

Arsenal’s hope of completing a deal for the BVB striker were dealt a huge blow as his club confirmed that they have reached an agreement with the Gabon international to extend his stay until 2020.

Bitter London rivals, Arsenal and Tottenham have both been on the trail of the speedy frontman and were reportedly preparing bids in the region of £30 million. However, the striker has poured cold water on speculations linking him with an exit from the Westfalenstadion by signing a two-year extension with his club.

The Gabon international appeared very happy while speaking to the club’s official website as he confirmed the deal.

Aubameyang arrived Dortmound from Ligue 1 side, Saint- Etienne two years ago. He was Dortmund’s top scorer last season with 25 goals in all competitons with 16 goal coming in the Bundesliga. He had also scored 12 goals in his debut campaign.

Arsenal and Tottenham who have both been in the market for a striker would have to turn to other targets as they look to bolster their attack for the new season which is just two weeks away.
