A CB Signing Finally? Manchester United To SHOCK Their Fans

Manchester United Manager Louis Van Gaal is reportedly not interested in signing any other central defender if it is not Sergio Ramos to United. The Dutch Coach has highlighted the signing of Sergio Ramos to the team as a priority but with Real Madrid not willing to give into United’s demands, Louis Van Gaal seems very likely to miss out on the 29 year old. The Dutch Coach has reportedly made it clear that United will not be looking for an alternative or backup option to Ramos if a deal for the 29 year old does not materialise. Louis Van Gaal is said to be contented with his defensive options so far and feels only the addition of an experienced defender like Ramos is needed in the team.

This news would come as worrisome to United fans who cannot handle the horrid of going into another season with the likes of Smalling, Evans and Jones. Also Louis Van Gaal has dismissed reports that the signing of a striker is a priority to him stating that he might consider a more central role for Adnan Januzaj in the coming season. Manchester United cannot afford to enter this new season without a quality striker and defender or else it could prove disastrous.

Manchester United’s defence last year was purely a joke with errors upon errors as well as the injury that plagued United’s defence last season. Also our striking department was largely inefficient for the most part of last season which was evident as we had our midfielders to thank for the majority of our goals last season. Undoubtedly Smalling and Jones are bright young talents who still need to be mentored and have a long way to go, going into this season relying on them will be catastrophic as well as not getting another quality striker upfront to complement Wayne Rooney. There is still much time for Louis Van Gaal to bring in a striker and a defender to Manchester United and if the team fails in their pursuit for Sergio Ramos time should not be wasted in securing an alternative.
