Agent confirms he’s working on the transfer for Man United top Portuguese target Rafa Silva

Manchester United are reportedly bringing in a Portuguese manager, when Jose Mourinho ends the Manchester United managerial crisis. Now it looks like they are after another Portuguese star as they chase Rafa Silva of Braga.

They have now been given a boost in their pursuit of the player, as his agent has declared, cryptically, that the player wants to step up from Braga and join a big side. Antonio Araujo declared to Portuguese media:

“Our client, Rafa Silva, sees with very good eyes the possibility of playing in the Premier League. We are working towards achieving this objective.”

Manchester United are not the only club looking at a deal, with Liverpool also interested. The player is thought to have a release clause of €20million, which both Liverpool and Manchester United would be able to afford.

With Fellaini looking as though he will be off at the end of the season, and other players such as Ashley Young and Michael Carrick also looking doubtful for next season, Manchester United might need a bit of an overhaul to make the team competitive again.
Porto have also inquired about availability but Braga will not want to sell to their big rivals, meaning the player will more than likely be on the move to the Premier League this summer.
