Alex Teixeira Publicly Confirms Chelsea Transfer: “I Will Have to Switch Clubs to Play for Brazil National Team”

Chelsea have been on the case of Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Alex Teixeira for a long time now. And now the Brazilian has himself accepted that the Blues are interested in his services.

Asked by O Globo about a possible transfer to the Premier League club, Teixeira said: “Chelsea? I’m very happy that they’re interested. On my part, I do everything to continue improving.”

Now Teixeira’s transfer to Stamford Bridge is more of a case of ‘when’ than ‘if’.

Teixeira has been in spectacular form for his club this season, but he is yet to break into the Brazilian national team. He also added that his move to Premier League will help him in getting him in contention for the national team setup.

“I want to be part of the Brazilian national team, so I may have to switch clubs,” he added.
