ALMOST Done – Winger Flies In For Medical, Set To Complete £16m Chelsea Transfer

Chelsea’s misfit Mohammed Salah seems set to ply his trade in Rome next season. The Chelsea winger arrived at Fiuminco airport in Rome  to complete his medical ahead of a proposed season-long move to Rome. The Egyptian player who was at Fiorentina last season on loan after struggling to get a starting berth was supposed to sign for Fiorentina due to the option to buy Salah after his loan but Mohammed Salah opted to sign for Roma instead of going back to Fiorentina.

The race to sign the Egyptian player was a tough one with several clubs interested in the 23 year old but as it stands Roma are looking more likely to land the Egyptian winger. It should be recalled that Roma tried effortlessly to sign Mohammed Salah in the January transfer window but Chelsea used Mohammed Salah as part of the deal to bring Columbian Juan Cuadrado to the Club. It is reported that Chelsea have agreed a 1.6 million pounds loan deal for the 23 year old with an option to buy Salah for £16 million pounds

The 23 year old impressed while on loan at Fiorentina last season bagging nine goals for them and a couple of assists. Mohammed Salah who signed for Chelsea in January 2014 for a fee of about 11 million pounds as struggled to fit into the team which has seen him being sent out on loan . Even though the pacey winger has shown promise and potentials, Mourinho does not think Salah is good enough to break into the first team yet and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would eventually sell the 23 year old wingr.
