Antonio Conte Flying to London to Finalize 3-Year Deal Worth £4.75million-a-season After Tax

The talks regarding Antonio Conte’s move Chelsea are getting more and more serious. Sky Italy are latest to speculate on the oncoming talks between Chelsea officials and Conte’s representatives.

The report claims that both parties will hold talks on Friday to discuss the possibility of the former Juventus man moving to Stamford Bridge in summer. Antonio Conte is on his way to London at the moment.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is expected to be in the talks with the Italian’s representatives.

Conte’s current contract with Italy national team expires at the end of Euro Cup, and thus the Blues will not have to pay any compensation fee for his transfer. This fact makes him an appealing proposition for the people at Stamford Bridge.

According to Sky Sports, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone remains the only other contender for the job in West London. Conte has won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus before taking charge of the Italy national team.

Another report from Standard Sport claims that the Blues are offering a three-year deal worth £4.75million-a-season after tax to the Italian. The new contract will be a significant improvement on his current salary of £3.6m‑a‑year before tax that he currently earns with the national squad.
Chelsea have refused to comment on the situation.
