Antonio Conte reportedly keen on signing Miralem Pjanic and Romelu Lukaku

Immediately after Chelsea confirmed they have hired Antonio Conte to become the permanent manager to replace Jose Mourinho, there have been several rumors in regard to the new manager’s plans to reshuffle the current squad.

According to byfarthegreatestteam.com: “The arrival of the former Juventus manager at Stamford Bridge could mean a major reshuffle in the Blues’ squad, and we look at five players whose futures hang in the balance ahead of the new season, namely: John Obi Mikel, Nemanja Matic, Juan Cuadrado, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard.”

It is now believed that Antonio Conte’s Italian background has linked Chelsea to a number of Serie A players, and we’ve already seen chances of them making major signings from the Serie A with one of the latest rumors linking Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic with a move to the west London club.

According to our sources, Pjanic could be the next name to echo around Stamford Bridge, as the club looks to ensure their absence from the Champions League a short one.

Conte is reportedly interested in signing the Roma star for Chelsea in his efforts to reclaim the club’s lost glory. Pjanic is currently one of the promising midfielders in Serie A league having scored 12 goals in 43 appearance this season for Roma. Roma are currently third in Serie A league table.

Since making his debut for the Serie A outfit in 2011, the Bosnian playmaker has scored a total of 29 goals in 179 appearances for Roma. Since joining the Serie A side Pjanic has grown into one of the more intriguing player in Europe, and has been linked to top European clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Barcelona, as well as others, such as Liverpool.

Latest reports have claimed the Bosnia-Herzegovina international had flown to London on Tuesday to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge, but other reports claimed he was only on holiday in England.

Chelsea reportedly can snap up the Bosnia-Herzegovina international for £30m due to a buyout clause in his contract, which expires in 2018 and Roma are already on the hunt for his replacement.

Besides, Conte is looking at a host of new signings with the likes of Radamel Falcao. John Terry and Alexandre Pato also expected to depart in the summer. And we’re made to understand Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who is rated at £50 million, is one of Conte’s top targets.
