Courtois Back

Antonio Conte unimpressed by Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea may sell him for £65m

The newly appointed Chelsea boss is not afraid to make changes, especially when it comes to Thibaut Courtois. The Belgium international is set to be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, and Conte is more than willing to let him go.

Real Madrid has been looming over Courtois since last summer and may get a real shot at acquiring the 23-year-old goalkeeper. It’s no secret that Courtois wants to play in Europe next season, and with Chelsea failing to make the cut, Real Madrid seems to be a perfect fit.

Reports indicate that Conte, after doing his fair share of research on the Belgian star, is not impressed with his No. 1’s attitude. Courtois has openly questioned the methods of Chelsea’s goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon, which has fractured his relationship with management and the training staff at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are not afraid to sell Courtois for a hefty £65 million since they still rate him one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the world.
Conte is set to make big changes to the Chelsea locker room. Chelsea’s current lineup and players has yielded less than stellar results in the last two seasons. Courtois may be one of the many Chelsea superstars to be leaving the club in the summer market. Although he comes with a pricey tag, Courtois is believed to be a guarantee under the three posts.
