Arsenal CLEARED To Sign WORLD CLASS Manchester United Target

The want-away Napoli striker is said to be willing to move to London after he bluntly refused to put pen to paper for a contract extension. During the summer of 2013, the Argentina international forward was close to signing for the north London giants, instead he opted for a move to Italy.

The striker’s older brother, who doubles as his agent, claimed that Higuain rejected a deal that was billed to extend his contract at Napoli.

As reported by the metro, he said, “We had a meeting with the president in Venice 10days ago. We talked about everything. He offered a one-year contract extension, in my opinion- and in our opinion, we’ll continue with original contract, expiring in 2018.

“I don’t think we’ll accept the president’s offer, because the contract isn’t that different to the one we signed before, so for us it’s not a real offer”.

The supporters of Arsenal have been clamoring for the reinforcement of their attacking line with the marquee signing of a centre forward. With the massive record of 53 goals in his 102 appearances for Napoli, Higuain will be definatly be an upgrade over Oliver Giroud and Danny Welbeck and should be considered if the deal for Benzema fails to pull through.

With some money still in the coffers of Arsenal’s account just after signing Petr Cech, the valuation of Gonzalo Higuain should not be more than 35m. Peradventure Napoli turns down Arsenal’s bid, same sum can be use to tempt the German side Borussia Dortmund for the services of their lethal and skillful forward, Marco Reus
