Arsenal in transfer talks to sign Leicester City duo in a mega deal

The Foxes’ magical season culminated with a long awaited Premier League title, so there is no surprise that big clubs are after their main players already. Reports indicate that Arsenal is discussing a trade that will bring N’Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez to The Emirates Stadium next season.

You can argue that Kante and Mahrez were the two major driving forces for Leicester’s successful dream campaign and Arsene Wenger believes they can help Arsenal win the title next season.

France Football has reported that talks have already taken place and that Mahrez, 25, will be transferred for £40 million while N’Golo Kante’s transfer fee will be somewhere around £20 million.

Both players proved to be quality, durable forces this season. One of Arsenal’s biggest issues was their lack of consistency in their attacking third and their midfield. Wenger is hoping the addition of the dynamic duo will raise the spirits and provide results.

The Gunners are not alone in the hunt for Mahrez’s services as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in signing the Algerian international this summer.
Meanwhile, Kante has been linked with Arsenal for a few months now and the deal seems to be imminent. The 25-year-old Frenchman, who made his debut for the senior French team this year, is the engine running Leicester’s midfield. Both players are bound to make a huge impact in Wenger’s team, if they decide to sign with the London club.
