Arsenal legend tells Wenger: Sign this top class striker to replace poor Giroud now

Arsenal Legend, Ray Parlour is urging Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger to make a move for clinical Pole, Robert Lewandowski in this summer’s transfer window. The Poland international has been strongly linked with a series of moves to the Premier League, with all of England’s heavyweights said to have been interested in the Pole at one point in his career.

Ray Parlour, who won three English league titles under Wenger, believes the French tactician should be looking to bolster his squad with Lewandowski or a striker of equal strengths.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has scored an impressive 22 goals in all competitions this season, but has struggled for goals at the turn of the year and has now gone 14 games without a goal, his longest goals drought since he joined the London outfit.

With Arsenal seriously lacking goals this term with just 58 goals scored in their 35 matches this season. Ray Parlor has questioned Giroud’s ability at the highest level and believes the club should make an ambitious move to sign Robert Lewandowski.

When asked in an interview who Arsenal should target in the summer, Parlour replied: ‘Robert Lewandowski, if they can get him. Someone of that caliber.  “Ideally you want players that are 25 or 26 but sometimes you don’t get opportunities for that. I just think they are lacking a top quality striker. He’s done well, Olivier Giroud, but is he good for the Champion League and Premier League?” said Parlour.
