Arsenal To Agree Pre-contract With £26m Rated Star Ahead Of January Move

According to reports, Arsenal are aiming to reach a pre contract agreement with Sami Khedira in January ahead of signing the German on a free transfer next summer. The 27 year old Real Madrid midfielder’s contract expires next summer, and he can open talks with any club in January ahead of a potential move next summer.

The German international was on the verge of leaving the European champions in the summer after he turned down a contract extension. He ended up staying in Madrid after all.

The Real Madrid midfielder was close to joining Arsenal in the summer, but an agreement could not be reached for him to join Arsene Wenger’s side.

Both London clubs are expected to vie for his signature when his contract runs out with the European Champions next year.

Sami Khedira has endured an indifferent last twelve months after he missed much of last season as a result of a knee ligament injury suffered during the international break with Germany last November. He was in a race against time to be fit for the World Cup in Brazil, but he ended up being fit enough to play a part in Germany fourth World Cup win in South America.
