Arsenal To Announce Signing Of £9.8m Italian

With the current rate at the which the players of Arsenal sustain injury, Wenger might turn out the most active manager in the winter transfer market in order the secure their title ambition. Argentina and Genoa attacking midfielder Diego Perotti has emerged at the transfer helm of Arsenal and they will attempt to complete the deal for the attacking midfielder in January, reports the Metro.

In the summer of last year, Perotti agreed a four year contract to join Genoa from Sevilla and has since become a mainstay within the rank of the Seria A giant. However, Arsenal are not left alone in the pursuit of the midfielder but the Gunners are said to be in pole position as they have more finances.

Genoa are in a bit of financial quagmire and will accept just £9.8 million for the attacking midfielder, per Calciomercato. According to reports in the Italian media, Arsenal could announce a deal for the player as early as January one.

Most of the wingers and midfielders of Arsenal are currently sidelined with injuries – Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Oxlade Chamberlain and Theo Walcott are all enduring injuries and there is the obvious need for midfield/wing reinforcement in Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal lost their last league match against West Brom and are currently in fourth position on the Premier League log but they will be looking to bounce back with a win in their Champions League match against Dynamo Zagreb.
