Bad News: Pep Guardiola Identified 1st Signing at Man City as Man Utd Star to Join Rivals

Man City confirmed that current Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola will be taking over from Manuel Pellegrini in the summer. The Spaniard has signed a three-year deal with the Manchester club.

As soon as the City announced the deal for the former Barcelona man, reports have begun circulating about the potential signings he is going to make following his arrival at Etihad Stadium.

Daily Star claims that Guardiola wants to sign Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera from local rivals United in his first piece of business in Premier League.

The report further states that Herrera has become disillusioned at United and believes that his career has stalled at the club under manager Louis Van Gaal.

Daily Star quotes a source: “Ander is worried about his lack of progress at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal.

“He feels like he’s lost his identity as a player and doesn’t know what his role is anymore.

“His situation appears to be getting worse, and he’s worried his career is going backwards, so there will have to be a chat with the manager.”
