Barcelona erase Manchester United target from photo

Manchester United have been heavily linked to signing Thiago from Barcelona after the Spanish club didn’t play him in the required number of games to enforce the €90m release clause.

When approached by Sky Sports today, a Barcelona source would only say: “We still have not received any formal offer for the player.”

However, that hasn’t stopped Barcelona from cropping the young star out of a picture of the players in the new kit on their official Instagram account.

The club claim the reason for Thiago’s disappearance is more to do with the shape of pictures allowed on Instagram, with a square frame requiring that either Puyol or Thiago was cut off.
