Aaron Ramsey

Barcelona had a Scout Monitoring Superstar’s Performance during Arsenal’s Fixture against Liverpool, Player Leaving Club in January?

In the past seasons Arsenal has been unable to keep hold of its key players. The trend has changed and arrival of players like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez seems to have turned the tables.

However, that hasn’t stopped other clubs from trying to snatch players away from Arsenal’s grasp and Barcelona is always in the attempts of trying to lure Arsenal players to Spain.

The current player reported to be on Barcelona’s radar is none other than Aaron Ramsey. The Catalans will try to sign the midfielder in the summer at a price of £60 million.

Ramsey has impressed in the central midfield role this season, especially after taking up the role from Santi Cazorla due to injury. The Express states that Barcelona had a scout monitoring Ramsey’s performance during Arsenal’s fixture against Liverpool which ended in a 3-3 draw.

Barcelona made attempts to sign the midfielder last summer, but Arsene Wenger outright rejected to acknowledge their advances. Wenger has already lost significant players to the Catalans, including, Marc Overmars, Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, Alexander Hleb and Alex Song.

Arsenal might be willing to sell Ramsey, but as reported by Independent, they would have to pay the demanded fee of £60 million. This maybe Arsenal’s tactic of making the Spanish Giants change their mind, but the future of Ramsey is yet to be decided.

The Wales international himself is focused on Euro 2016 this summer and has given no personal thoughts on this rumour. Hence, nothing can be said on a definite note.
