Shocking reports on social media network twitter this afternoon has it that Arsenal manager has gone all out and will likely be breaking the club’s transfer record. According to the reports, the Gunners are in talks with PSG in regards to the potential signing of Edinson Cavani in a term said to be for €60 million or £43.5 million which will be a new transfer record for Arsenal.

If true, Arsenal would have signed a truly world class striker in Cavani. Cavani although hasn’t done well with PSG is definitely better than Olivier Giroud. With the amount of chances Arsenal create, someone like Cavani will definitely score tons of goals.

Last season while playing mostly on the wings for PSG, Cavani managed to score 37 goals in 56 matches which is a superb record for someone who plays as a winger. It is even better when you compare his stats with that of Giroud who plays as the main striker.

Reportedly on a wage of £165,000 a week, his wage demands can’t be a major problem for Arsene Wenger since the club has finally relaxed the stance on wage structure with the likes of Ozil and Sanchez earning close to what Cavani is currently getting with PSG.
