Who Can Stop Gremio & Corinthians In The Brazilian Championship?

After seven rounds of Brazilian Championship, the question is: Who can stop Gremio and Corinthians? Both teams are leading the championship, with Corinthians and there counter-attack style, one point ahead of Gremio, with there touch and control style. Of the 10 matches, we hit 5 in our predictions (so-so, ok…). Below a summary of the main matches of the round:

Santos 1-0 Palmeiras

In the Paulista’s derby, playing at home, Santos beat Palmeiras by one goal to nil. The result does not reflect how the match was, without the goalkeeper of Santos, Vanderlei, Palmeiras would have left with the victory.

Corinthians 1-0 Cruzeiro

Once again Corinthians won according to their style of play, that is, a very strong defence, and the use of counter attacks and the ball stopped, which in this case was where the goal of “Timão”, ensuring the leadership of the championship with 19 points.

Fluminense 0-2 Gremio

For the third time in the year, Gremio win against Fluminense, and again at Maracana. With two goals scored from Edilson and Luan that were compared to Iniesta by the BBC journalist in Brazil, Tim Vickery. Gremio is second with 18 points and playing the best football in the Championship so far.
