Chelsea Are Negotiating with PSG to Close a Deal for Ezequiel Lavezzi, Players Agent Speaks Out on the Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi’s agent has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in his client. The Blues have been linked with a move for the Argentinean in the past, and the recent comments from the player’s agent has given credence to those rumours.

However, Alessandro Moggi reveals that Inter Milan are currently the most interested team in his client. “Inter are the most interested team at the moment,” Moggi told Football Italia.

“There was interest from Barcelona and Chelsea, and we’re talking with the Blues.

The 30-year old is in the last year of his contract with the France champions and will be a free agent in the summer. He has found chances hard to come by following the arrival of his compatriot Angel Di Maria, and he is looking for a new challenge following his four-year stint with the Paris club.

However, Moggi admits that there is a possibility that Lavezzi might end up signing a contract extension with PSG.

He added: “I can’t rule out him only leaving Paris at the end of the season, though, as Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in keeping him.”

Lavezzi moved to PSG from Napoli for a €26.5 million transfer fee in 2012. He has won three Ligue 1 titles during his stint with the club.
