Chelsea handed tough draw in FA Cup Quarterfinal

Chelsea dispatched Man City’s team of youngsters 5-1 at Stamford Bridge to book their place in the Quarterfinals of the tournament. As a result, the Blues have been handed the toughest draw of the quarterfinal stage of the competition.

The West London club faces a daunting task of defeating Everton at Goodison Park if they want to book their place in the semi-final at Wembley Stadium.

Crystal Palace, who defeated Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane today, will travel to Championship club Reading City. Meanwhile, the winner of Monday night’s fixture between Shrewsbury Town and Man Utd will host West Ham, who defeated Blackburn Rovers 1-5 today.

The winner of the replay between Hull City and Arsenal will host Premier League club Watford FC.

Shrewsbury/ Man Utd v West Ham

The FA Cup represents the most realistic chance of lifting silverware to the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea this season. Meanwhile, Arsenal have been handed another possible home tie in their pursuit to win the third consecutive FA Cup.
The games will be played on the weekend of 11-14 March.
