Chelsea Officials Met with Argentine Superstar Yesterday, Player to Undergo Medical Now

Guus Hiddink set to beat rivals to bring Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi to the Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are reportedly the frontrunners who are likely to secure the services of Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The 30-year-old star will be out of contract in the summer, and the Blues are ready to sign him with worries over Eden Hazard’s future growing pace.

Although Inter Milan and Juventus have shown much interest in the Argentine and are ready to strike a deal in the summer when he will be a free agent, Chelsea are ready to sign him now.

According to our reports, Lavezzi met with Chelsea officials on Thursday to discuss and finalize the details of the deal that would see him arrive at the north London Club at the end of the season.

Lavezzio who was available for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup, has had several clubs showing interest sin him with Arsenal and Tottenham believed to be interested.

The 30-year-old arrived at PSG in 2012 has shown great performance that has seen him make his name in French football alongside Edison Cavani.

As Chelsea struggles make good use of the January transfer window to reinforce its goal-shy squad, Lavezzi appears to a good support in the goal scoring department.

This season Lavezzi has scored two goals and has only started three games while coming in as a substitute in the rest. Currently struggling for play time with Brazilian winger Lucas Moura and former Machester United player maker Angel Di Maria, it’s evident that the Argentine’s future doesn’t seem too bright at the mega-rich French club.

At best, a possible Lavezzi transfer to Chelsea would be an immediate solution to the long-term goal scoring problem that wasn’t solved by Falcao’s and Pedro’s transfers this summer.
