Antonio Conte

Chelsea set to confirm £35m star as Antonio Conte’s first signing after meeting between club directors

Antonio Conte, the former Juventus manager, has already been named and confirmed as the next Chelsea manager after being handed a three years deal as the Stamford Bridge boss. Antonio Conte takes over from Guus Hiddink who has been serving as the stand-in manager following the exit of Jose Mourinho from the bridge following a run of poor performances by the former English Premier League Champions.

The new  Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, is likely to come on board with a number of players in mind in a bid to strengthen and reorganize his squad in preparation of the 2016/2017 season, during which Conte’s managerial abilities in the premier league context will come into test.

Antonio Conte already seems set to have his desired players at the Stamford Bridge as early as possible. Conte has reportedly almost secured the signing of Radja Nainggolan, the AS Roma midfielder with a valuation of 35 million pounds pegged on him.

Radja Naingolan, the Belgium International,  has been outstanding in his 38 appearances for the Serie A outfit AS Roma. AS Roma with whom Radja Nainggolan has a contract until the year 2020, are willing to cash in on the midfielder should Chelsea meet As Roma’s asking price of about 35 million pounds.

A meeting between Chelsea’s director, Marina Glanovaskaia, and AS Roma’s director, Walter Sabatini, almost confirms Radja Nainggolan move to Chelsea as a done and dusted deal. Besides, new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte who is a personal admirer of Radja Nainggolan is keen to have the Belgium International as part of his Chelsea midfield in the 2016/2017 season.
