Club CEO Confirms: Former Man Utd Striker May Join Liverpool This Summer

Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season. The 27-year old has scored 13 goals in 17 league appearances following his summer move from Man Utd in a £7.3million deal.

He has won three consecutive Bundesliga player of the month awards, and his exploits have attracted the attentions of the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.

Chicharito was linked with a move away from Leverkusen in January, but the Bundesliga club refused to sell the prized asset.

However, club’s CEO Michael Schade has refused to rule out a summer exit for the Mexican international. He claimed that Hernandez could be sold for a right price.

He said in German newspaper Rheinische Post: “If we qualify for the Champions League then we have very good chances that he will stay with us.

“As things stand now we do not want to sell any player. We are, however, a commercial enterprise and there are limits. If there are huge offers, then we will consider them.”
According to ITA Sport Press, Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Javier Hernandez in the summer no matter the price. Manager already urged the board to sign the striker and sell Benteke to fund the transfer.
