Club Manager Provides Update on Man Utd and Chelsea Target Transfer in January

Bundesliga club Mainz have turned down Man Utd’s advances for striker Yoshinori Muto. The Red Devils were linked with a move for the Japanese striker who moved to Bundesliga from FC Tokyo in the summer.

Chelsea were also reportedly interested in signing the player in summer, but he chose Mainz as he wanted guaranteed first-team football.

The 23-year old has been one of the standout players for his club this season and has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 18 appearances for his club.

United were willing to offer €15 million for his services, but Mainz coach has put an end to those rumours.

We’ve put that to bed,” he told German publication Kicker.
