Crazy rumour: Rap superstar Jay Z wants to sign Marcus Rashford, verbal agreement reached

In one of the more bizarre pieces of gossip doing the rounds today, Jay Z’s sport agency, Roc Nation, are planning to sign up Marcus Rashford. It’s clear that not only has the young striker been gathering fans on this side of the Atlantic, his Manchester United heroics have been working in the states as well.

Rashford has had his breakthrough season this year after a series of injuries meant that United were without a striker with Rooney injured and Martial also out of action. Rashford was given his chance to shine and hasn’t stopped scoring since, with his latest coming in the 1-0 victory over Villa at the weekend.

Roc Nation Sports have made contact with the 18 year old and are preparing to offer terms in order to represent him. The goals meant his salary has increased as well as his reputation, with the youngster reportedly bagging £15,000 per week now.

The Sun newspaper is reporting that he has caught the attention of Jay Z and the businessmen behind Roc Nation Sports and other agencies as well. They will be vying to snap up the youngster to add him to their ranks of top class talent.

They already represent Bayern Munich and German defender, Jerome Boateng, and they have enlisted superstar boxer Andre Ward. Sources say that a verbal agreement to have Rashford on board might already be in place.
