Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

Deal done? Top transfer target Piotr Zielinski pictured wearing Liverpool shirt

Liverpool transfer target Piotr Zielinski is reportedly close to finalizing a move as per Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy. If you want to bet on Liverpool’s fixtures, you can do that at Online Sportsbook.

Piotr Zielinski enjoyed a stellar loan spell with Udinese this campaign and Daily Star reports that a bid of £12 million is expected to go through. A move is expected to be completed by Wednesday if everything goes according to plan.

Certainly Zielinski will be hoping that he can get his dream move to Liverpool and working under Jurgen Klopp. Should this move go through it will be Liverpool’s third signing as they look to prepare for next season.

Empoli sporting director Marcello Carli only added flair to the  rumors of a possible departure after informing Italian broadcaster Mediaset Premium Zielinski wouldn’t remain with the club (h/t CalcioMercato): “[Leandro] Parades and Zielinski are only on-loan so they will definitely be leaving.”The only question that remains is whether Liverpool will be his next destination?

The attacking midfielder has contributed to five goals and recorded a further six assists in 35 games for Empoli this season. He will now return to his parent club Udinese after a two-year loan spell with Empoli. It is there that the club will decide where his future lays.

Surely it can’t be an attractive option for the midfielder as Empoli just scrapped up 17th place to avoid the drop.  Zielinski  was pictured in  a Liverpool jersey with the number 10 and his name on it. This obviously means Piotr is aware of the interest Liverpool have in him. Now he is simply doing his own share of work to ensure the interest does not disappear. It’s a desperate plea for Liverpool to come and get him. It may be a little forward but obviously the Polish man is aware that negotiations are at a crucial stage.

“Some people say these are just the rumours. I know a little bit more about it,” he said back in March.

“But until now I just try to play as best as I can in Empoli to have a possible chance in June for such a big transfer move.”

Zielinski is a box-to-box midfielder and at just 21-years old he is the type of player Klopp can transform into something special. He has not hidden his desire to play for a bigger and ambitious club and Liverpool can offer him that. What will he be able to offer Liverpool though?
