Everton Ready to Sell Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United for £65m

In a major transfer story of the day, the Sun are claiming that Man Utd will have to cough up £65 million to secure the signing of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

According to the report, Toffees manager Roberto Martinez could be willing to sell his star striker but only for the right price.

The report also claims that clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid are also interested in the Belgian international but any possible deal will happen in summer only.

The 22-year old had emerged as one of the most prolific strikers in Premier League this season and is currently the season’s leading goal scorer, along with Jamie Vardy, with 15 goals.

Lukaku joined the Toffees on a £28 million deal from Chelsea, after spending a season on loan at the Merseyside club. He signed on a five-year deal with Everton and still has three years left on his contract.

The Sun close their exclusive with the comments: “At the start of the season, they defiantly snubbed champions Chelsea’s mega-money offers for England defender John Stones. Roberto Martinez’s side will adopt a similar hard-line approach with Lukaku at the end of the campaign, especially as he has three years of a five-year contract still to run.”
