Former Arsenal captain and Barca player: I’m a massive Man United fan

Before being beaten by Manchester United in the 2009 Champions League semi-final, then Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas, revealed his admiration for the opposition.

“I’m a massive Man United fan,” he said. “I have no problem saying United are one of the best clubs in the world – even though I want to beat them. They are the best side in the world at the moment – a top, top side and we respect them a lot. United are probably our biggest rivals but they are a team who play good football.”

Now at Barcelona, Fabregas has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, despite the official denials of the club.
