Friend Reveals Italian Will Take Over Chelsea: “The Deal Abramovich Offered is Fantastic, He Will Do Very Well”

While major clubs in the Premier League are preparing a list of probable players to buy from the summer transfer window, Chelsea is busy in search of a new manager who will replace Guus Hiddink. The interim manager is set to leave Stamford Bridge after season’s end.

With the option of Pep Guardiola gone, having signed a contract with Manchester City, the remaining candidates that remain in the list of Chelsea’s next manager, are Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri and Atletico Madrid’s boss, Diego Simeone.

According to The Independent, Allegri has denied any such reports, stating that the rumours of him being the next Chelsea manager are not true.

However, reports in Gazzetta Dello Sport state otherwise. In an interview with them, Giovanne Galeone, Allegri’s former manager, revealed, Allegri can join Chelsea.

‘I think Max will go to Chelsea and will do very well’, he said.

He will leave Italy, and I see him going to England because the deal Roman Abramovich has offered is really fantastic. As one of the five best coaches in the world, he has to leave Juventus, it makes no sense for him to stay in Italy.’

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich isn’t giving any hints on the matter, and there hasn’t been any major development in the matter. It has also been reported that Chelsea doesn’t have many options available.

However, Allegri, has rejected claims about being the next Blues’ manager. He is currently managing Juventus and his side is second in Serie A. They face Barcelona in the Champions League knock-out stage.

Speaking to Sky Italia, he said, ‘There’s nothing to it. I cannot either confirm or deny something that doesn’t exist.

‘I want this matter over and done with now. What’s important for me right now is to get to the end of the season with Juventus and try and win some silverware.’

Juventus have lost only one of the last 18 matches they have played in all competitions so far this season. They are just two points behind leaders Napoli.

Besides being title contenders, they are also in the race to win the Coppa Italia, facing Inter Milan in their semi-final clash.

For now, Allegri is set on winning trophies with Juventus, but achieving that feat, might make the manager move to Chelsea for a bigger challenge. The season end will reveal, who Roman Abramovich wants as Chelsea manager.
