Golden Shoe Award Winner to Close the Transfer This Week

Chelsea winger Christian Atsu is reportedly close to agreeing on a deal for a transfer move to La Liga club Levente.

The highly rated winger recently returned to Stamford Bridge after cutting short his disappointing loan spell with Bournemouth.

Earlier this month, reports had claimed that the 23-year-old is in talks with the La Liga club. Spanish publication Marca, yesterday, published a story claiming that the player has already agreed personal terms with the club and the only thing left is for both clubs to reach an agreement on a transfer fee.

The Ghana international arrived at Chelsea from Portuguese club Porto in 2013, but failed to left a mark during his stay at the club.

Last season, he had a disappointing loan spell at Everton where he managed only five league appearances. His loan spell at Bournemouth, earlier this season, also failed to live up to expectations, and he failed to make any league appearance for the Cherries.

Levente are currently placed at the bottom of the League table and will be hoping that Atsu, who won Golden Shoe Award winner at the AFCON 2015, could help them in their bid to avoid relegation this season.
