Hiddink Officialy New Chelsea Manager

Guus Hiddink to Bring his Former Protege to Chelsea, Midfielder Keen to Sign This Week

Chelsea have registered an interest in Fenerbahce midfielder Mehmet Topal.

Turkish source Milliyet claims that the Blues are keeping tabs on the player since the start of the current season and are now contemplating making a move for him to bolster their midfield ranks.

The former Valencia man has played under Chelsea’s current manager Guus Hiddink during his time with the Turkish national team. The 29-year old has only six months left on his contract, and the Blues will be able to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

He has been impressive for his team this season and has made 29 appearances in all competitions. He joined Valencia from another Turkish giant – Galatasaray in 2010 and enjoyed two seasons in La Liga before returning to his native country.

He is a regular part of the Turkish national side and was a key member of the side in the Euro qualification campaign.
