“He Will Play For Us Next Season” Wenger CONFIRMS Shocking Transfer News

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has recently moved to quench speculations linking Calum Chambers with a move- loan or permanent- back to former club, Southampton.

Having excelled in previous seasons as a Saints’ player, he joined the Gunners for a fee of around £16 million- only during the last transfer window; and has unfortunately not so much lived up to expectations, hence the purported move. However, Arsene Wenger has now thrown his full weight behind him, tipping him to grow into the game and possibly compete with the likes of Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel Paulista for a starting berth in the Gunner’s first team.

Meanwhile, the French coach has also taken out time to respond to Jose Mourinho’s recent jibes about him and his squad, ahead of Sunday’s community shield tie between Arsenal and Chelsea. Mourinho had allegedly described the Gunners’ overall transfer activity as “an attempt to “buy their way into becoming title-contenders.”

Speaking in response, Wenger noted: “We spent what we think we have to spend and don’t listen too much to what people have to say.” He also added thus, among other things: “Focus on the football we want to play, and let other people talk.”

The two managers and their respective clubs lock horns this Sunday, in what promises to be an exciting tie.
