Huge News – Arsenal £30m Target Confirms New Contract, Signature Unveiled on his Twitter

Arsenal have been dealt a setback in their pursuit of Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi. The Belgian star, who was rated at £30m, was a transfer target for the Gunners following his impressive performances in Ligue 1 this season.

He was also closely followed by other Premier League clubs such as Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Newcastle.

Marseille today announced that the 22-year old has signed a new contract with the club dashing Arsenal’s hopes of signing him in the near future. The Belgian international’s new contract runs until 2020.

Marseille signed the forward from the Belgian side Standard Liège in August 2014. He has scored 11 league goals in 19 appearances for his club this season.

He made his debut for Belgium national team last year, and his primary aim right now is to secure his place in the national squad for the upcoming Euro Cup. This motivation must have played a huge role in his decision to sign a contract extension as he is guaranteed to get first team football with his current club.
He announced the news on their Twitter account.
