“I Am Manchester United’s New CB” Claims £80,000-A-Week World Cup Star

Manchester United Utility player Daley Blind has revealed via the Daily Star that he actually prefers playing in the Centre-Back position with Chris Smalling. Blind has played in defensive midfielder and at left-back for the Red Devils but was pushed by new manager Louis Van Gaal to the Centre-back position this season and has been fantastic so far.

The 25-year-old dutch international said he is comfortable with anywhere his manager decides to play him and promises to give his best in whatever position the manager deems fit for him as a Manchester United player.

Blind said: “Of course now I feel most comfortable in the centre-back position.

“There I play every week at Manchester United and I feel good.

“(But) I have not so much difficulty to play again at left-back, central defender or midfielder.

Daley Blind who has a pass accuracy of 92% for United in the English Premiership this season joined the Red Devils from Ajax in 2014 after doing well in the world cup and has not put a foot wrong in the English League since then as he has quickly adapted to life in the English League.

Blind is currently the Red Devils top passer this season according to passes stats from the Old Trafford as he has completed more passes than anybody else in the team this season.

When Blind was pushed to the centre-back position, many fans were not comfortable with the decision but as at the moment, no one will be happy if the partnership of Chris Smalling and Daley Blind which has one of the best records so far in the premiership is truncated.
