Is Griezmann on his way to Old Trafford? His brother hints at transfer on Twitter

As one of Europe’s top marksmen, Antoine Griezmann has been on every managers shopping list for quite a few seasons now. This year, he put 2 past Barcelona in the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League, sending Atletico into the Semi’s.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have all expressed interest in signing the prolific Frenchman, but now, after an interesting Tweet from his brother, he has been heavily linked with joining Manchester United.

Manchester Evening News reported that Theo Griezmann, brother of the Atletico striker, posted a Tweet that read “Glory glory Man United!”

Does he know something that we do not? The Tweet was heavily questioned and scrutinized, with many thinking it might have been a sign that 25 year old French international, Antoine Griezmann, was on his way to Old Trafford.

They could certainly use Griezmann and he would link up well with his international teammate Anthony Martial. But would a move to United really interest him? United could miss out on Champions League football next season and the managerial situation at the club make it look like a club in turmoil.

They could certainly afford the transfer fee and the wages, but it remains to be seen whether it would interest him. Atletico are fighting for La Liga and challenging for the Champions League this season.

Perhaps Theo is just a United fan and was celebrating victory over Aston Villa? Perhaps Antoine really is on his way? Or perhaps Theo was just having a laugh. Only time will tell.
