John Stones To Finally Join Chelsea, Everton Set To Sign Burnley Star As Replacement

Talking about pro-active measure/steps, the manager of Everton Roberto Martinez has been reportedly keeping tabs on Burnley tenacious tackler Michael Keane, this is according to the Sun via SportsMole.

Martinez is anticipating that the Blues will come back for Stones in the January transfer market, and has asked the Toffees scouts to ensure that Keane is in the Perfect mould of Stones, as per the reports.

Keane, 22, made a sole appearance for the Red Devils under Louis Van Gaal  before jumping  the ship to TurfMoor. He finished was loan last season before agreeing to put pen to paper on a permanent deal for Sean Dchye’s led side.

Keane has remained an integral part of Burnley from the inception of this season. He has featured for 90mins for his club in nine consecutive games but Burnley are currently lying at sixth place on the Championship log.

Everton have conceded few goals this season and that feat has been attributed to the defensive partnership of Phil Jagielka and John Stones. Given their performance scores, Stones is among the elites defenders in the Premier League.

This news will be cheering to Mourinho, who pursued Stones till the last minutes of the transfer market. Any deal by Everton for a defender is tantamount to a replacement for John Stones. Hence, Chelsea will now have an opportunity to sign their Long term target.
