Jose Mourinho eyeing Serie A star Franco Vazquez as 1st Man Utd signing

Jose Mourinho is no stranger to controversy, and The Chosen One is already making Manchester United headlines without being officially appointed as their new manager. Rumor has it that Mourinho will have to wait for one most year as Louis van Gaal will be allowed to finish his contract that takes him to the end of next season. However, reports confirm that Mourinho is already looking at players he would like to coach.

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has a good relationship with The Chosen One, and he has hinted that if Mourinho was to manage The Red Devils he would like to play at Old Trafford as well.

Now, another quality midfielder, this time from Serie A, has been linked with the Portuguese boss. Palermo has confirmed they will be selling Franco Vazquez to an abroad team, and Mourinho seems to have interest in having him playing in The Theater of Dreams.

Vazquez has had a great season for Palermo, becoming a cornerstone of their midfield scoring 7 goals and dishing out 7 assists. The 27-year-old Italian international has been on the radar for many Italian teams, but will be sold abroad as no team in Serie A has the money to pay for his services.
Manchester United seems to be his next stop as Mourinho has expressed interest in signing Vazquez, that is, if he gets named manager this coming season.
