Jose Mourinho to bring Arda Turan to Manchester United

Being heavily linked with the managerial position at Manchester United, it seems Jose Mourinho has full intentions on making that possibility true. News last week suggested that United’s board has contacted Mourinho about replacing Louis van Gaal as manager.

The former Chelsea boss has already started making a wish-list of players he would want at Old Trafford after taking up the job at United.

Barcelona midfielder, Arda Turan, is one of Mourinho’s targets. Due to the extensive quality of talent in the Barcelona squad, Turan is struggling with achieving enough game time at the club and might prefer a move to Old Trafford if it promises regular play time.

Mourinho has always been a great admirer of the midfielder, as he had also made attempts to sign him during his time at Real Madrid. However, the 29-year-old had chosen Barcelona over Madrid, to join the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Suarez.

The Turkey international was absent earlier this season due to injury, but returned to action at the beginning of this year. However, he has only managed to make 7 La Liga appearances so far, in which he has two assists to his name.
Seeing the position of United and lack of Champions League football, Mourinho factor might not be enough for Turan to move away from Barcelona.
