Liverpool Eyeing an £11 million move for Impressive Midfielder, Klopp Personally Involved in the Transfer

Liverpool are currently weighing up a summer move for Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski. According to reports, the playmaker is currently in his second consecutive spell on loan with Serie A outfit Empoli and has impressed so far this season.

The 21-year-old Polish international is on Liverpool’s radar but wants to wait until the end of this summer’s European Champions before making a move. Besides, the reports suggest that the Anfield club is willing to “wrap an £11 million move for the central midfielder and had been initially looking at securing his services this January.”
Zielinski is considered one of the rising stars of Serie A football and already has two goals and 5 assists to his names in 19 leagues appearances so far this season.

The playmaker has also made an impact at a senior international level, winning 11 caps with Poland while featuring in their successful EURO 2016 qualification campaign.

One of his latest impressive performances is during his most recent outing to AC Milan where he scored.

According to Mirror’s Matt Lewis, who notes “Zielinski is thought to favor a move in the summer as he is settled and does not want to jeopardize his place in the Poland squad for the forthcoming European Championships.”

“The Reds are prepared to wait to get their man and are hoping this summer’s feast of football in France doesn’t inflate the player’s transfer fee. Juventus and Napoli are also rumored to be keeping tabs on Zielenski, who already has 11 Poland caps to his name, with Roma reportedly having seen a move knocked back.”

Premier League clubs – Manchester United and Manchester City – are also tracking the playmaker.

Liverpool are considered the frontrunners in the race to secure Zielinski services this coming summer because the player would prefer a move to Anfield to link up with Jürgen Klopp.

The Anfield outfit believes that Klopp could accelerate that development of the Polish Midfielder banked on the great work he did with his compatriots Jakub Blaszczykowski and Robert Lewandowski at Borussia Dortmund.

Zielinksi possesses great dribbler skills, comfortable on the ball and the ability to create opportunities for his team-mates makes his a versatile player who can play across the midfield and off as a striker.
