Liverpool legend believes this deadly Belgian striker will replace Benteke

The speculation surrounding the future of last season’s 32.5 million pounds Liverpool acquisition, Christian Benteke, seems to be nowhere near its end. And with all the news coming in from different quotas pointing to an imminent departure of the Belgium International from Liverpool, there are many players being taunted as potential Christian Benteke’s replacement at Liverpool.

One such player to recently hit headlines as a replacement in the waiting for Christian Benteke should the Belgium International bow out of Anfield this summer is another Belgium International, Michy Batshuayi.

This new revelation about Michy Batshuay’s possibility of joining Liverpool this summer comes from Liverpool’s legend Steve Nicol. Steve Nicol is in fact very optimistic that Jurgen Klopp will most likely land Michy Batshuayi as a replacement for the outgoing Christian Benteke. Michy Batshuayi, the 22 year old, has to his name 15 Ligue 1 goals for his struggling Marseille side.

Steve Nicol sees a lot of talent in the young Belgium International and tips the youngster to continue his impressive goal scoring form at the premier league should he join Liverpool in the summer.

Liverpool FC’s interest in the young Belgian who is being valued at 30 million pounds will most likely meet competition from rival Premier Clubs Tottenham Hotspurs and West Ham and the Italian giants Juventus.
Steve Nicol, the Liverpool legend however thinks that Michy Batshuayi will prefer to join Liverpool to the other interested clubs in an endeavour to fit in the shoes of the outgoing fellow Belgium International- Christian Benteke’s shoes at Liverpool.
