Liverpool Trying to Sign Former Man Utd Star Before Deadline, Striker Scored 19 Goals in 23 Matches This Season

Liverpool have made former Man Utd striker Javier Hernandez their top transfer target, according to latest reports.

The Times claims that the Reds have become interested in the Bayer Leverkusen striker after he caught manager Jurgen Klopp’s attention with his performances in Bundesliga.

The 27-year old has scored 19 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga club since his move in summer. The Reds tried to sign the Mexican international last season back in 2014 before he moved to Real Madrid on a loan deal.

The report claims that the Reds tried to sign the player in January but a deal this month doesn’t look possible. They plan to reignite their interest in the summer transfer window.

Hernandez won two Premier League titles with United before he was let go by manager Louis Van Gaal.
