Magical Mourinho is back at it – his first signing as Man Utd Boss unveiled, former Real Madrid and Inter Milan superstar moving to Manchester

Reports from the UK have suggested that Jose Mourinho will make Wesley Sneijder his first signing as the manager of Manchester United, once his appointment is confirmed. The Portuguese boss is seen as the favourite to replace under-fire United manager Louis Van Gaal, who looks certain to be replaced within a few more weeks.

Mourinho, who is currently without a job after being relieved of his duties at Chelsea, is reported to have agreed a lucrative deal to take over as the new manager of Manchester United Football Club. Louis Van Gaal, United’s present manager, is under heavy scrutiny after seeing his side slip off the pace in the Barclays Premier League while they also dropped out of the UEFA Champions League.

Rumours of Jose Mourinho becoming the new United boss has gathered so much pace that media outlets are already speculating as to who he could be looking to bring to Old Trafford once the transfer window opens up.

Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder seems to be the guy who the Special One has his eyes on. The 31-year-old former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star would bring experience and steel to the United midfield. Sneijder is one player who Mourinho knows all about after the Portuguese manager coached the Holland star for one year during his last season managing Inter Milan.

Sneijder has done well in his time in Turkey and many football pundits still believe that he could do very well in one Europe’s top leagues. Mourinho could be keen to bring the energetic midfielder to United as he tries to plot a path for the 20-time League champions to get back on top of the European game.
