In just three days, the mood around Old Trafford has drastically changed from happiness to sadness. Here are the round up of Manchester United news and reports.

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has backed ex-teammate Paul Pogba to win the Ballon D’or some day and feels Manchester United should not have let the Frenchman leave the club. Manchester United’s skipper Wayne Rooney might be suffering a dip in form presently but he has still managed to find his way into Yaya Toure’s top five players in the world. Other players joining him on this list are Aguero , Ronaldo , Messi and Bale.

Recent reports coming into light are stating that United’s new signing Anthony Martial almost missed his opportunity to make his first start for United as the 19 year old almost missed the team bus. Reports state that the team bus was about leaving before it was realised that Martial was still in the hotel and not on the bus. If Martial had missed the bus that would have been a terrible way of missing his full debut for United.

PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno has publicly apologised for his tackle on Luke Shaw that saw the England International suffer a double leg fracture. Moreno has expressed his deepest condolences about the situation and has stated that his tackle on Luke Shaw was not intentional.

PSV Eindhoven have clarified the fee Manchester United paid for Memphis Depay. The Dutch club claim that a fee of 27 million Euros was paid for Depay rather than a reported 36 million fee. Memphis Depay has scored three goals for United this season but he is still yet to score in the Premier League.

It is believed that De Gea’s new deal has a release clause of 35 million Euros as opposed to the 40 million Euros reported. The Spaniard’s much publicised proposed move to Real Madrid fell through at the last minute before De Gea penned down a new deal at the club. The presence of the release clause in the deal is said to be there because of a potential transfer to Madrid in the near future.
