Man Utd Identified 1st Summer Signing, Players Agent Speaks on Pre-agreement with the Club

Man Utd have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega. United were interested in signing the 27-year old, but decided to wait till summer as the player will be a free agent in six months.

This week, reports emerged that the Argentine has already signed a pre-agreement with Serie A giants Inter Milan.

However, player’s agent Marcelo Simonian has come out and dismissed the reports claiming that he has signed a contract with Inter.

“The first thing I want to say is that [Banega] hasn’t signed anything with anyone,” representative Marcelo Simonian told ABC Deportes.

“There are many, many teams interested. But we haven’t signed with Inter or anyone else. I’d be lying if I said there were a lot of teams to have called, but to have signed something is very different.”

This means that the Red Devils are still favourites to land their man in the summer. Banega has scored six goals for Sevilla this season.
