Valdes to Leave Manchester United

Man Utd make decision over UCL winner: His days are over at Old Trafford

One of Barcelona’s finest youth product Victor Valdes left the Nou Camp after nearly two decades with the club. Valdes felt a change of scenery is what he needed yet things didn’t go according to plan.

Valdes had been training with United since his arrival. He attempted to bounce back to full fitness following a cruciate knee injury. However, since regaining full fitness, things did not go according to plan.

The 34- year-old was set to provide much needed backup for current Manchester United No.1 David de Gea. The Spanish keeper signed an 18month deal with the Red Devils as they beat Liverpool to his signature. However, having brought in Sergio Romero in the summer, his chances look even slimmer

Valdes has a single year in his current deal. However, having only made two appearances for the Red Devils. Espanyol are looking to snap up Valdes when his contract expires. He is one of Yansheng’s top targets and the Chinese businessman will try to lure him when he leaves United to help build Espanyol.
Despite his unsuccessful spell with United.  Valdes has had a phenomenal career at Barcelona winning 21 major honours while he also helped Spain to 2010 World Cup glory. He will be hoping he can rejuvenate his career back in Spain.
