Man Utd to Hijack Chelsea Transfer for Antoine Griezmann, Juan Mata to be Used in Swap Deal

Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann is one of the stars who is likely to move in a big money deal in the summer.

Chelsea are already interested in the France international, and the latest reports claim that Man Utd are also contemplating a move for the 24- year old.

Spanish publication Fichajes claims that Atletico Madrid are interested in Man Utd playmaker Juan Mata, and this could pave the way for United landing Griezmann.

The report claims that Atletico manager Diego Simeone, who is resigned to losing Griezmann in the summer, holds a keen interest in Mata and wants to bring him to Vicente Calderon.

Meanwhile, Mourinho’s arrival at United could see the end of Mata’s time at Old Trafford. The Portuguese manager previously sold the Spain international when he was in charge at Chelsea.

Griezmann is believed to have a £60million buy-out clause in his contract at the La Liga club, but United are hopeful that Mata’s transfer to Atletico could substantially bring down the transfer fee for their target.
The France international has been one of the standout players in La Liga this season and has scored 12 league goals and provided two assists in the Spanish league this season.
