Neymar Moving to Manchester United

Man Utd top target Neymar desperately wants to leave Barcelona according to Spain media

Speculation has been rife lately over the future of Barcelona’s Brazilian attacker, Neymar. Neymar has been in great form lately and forms one third of arguably the best attack in the footballing world; Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

News circulating in Spain suggests the trio might be about to split as Neymar looks to force a move away from Barca. Spanish newspaper, Don Balon, suggest that the player is actively seeking a route away from the club. La Vanguardia, another Spanish news source, suggested that the Spanish giants would not put up much of a struggle if the players £150m release clause was met.

Neymar has been crucial to the team in the past few seasons but he recently had a spat with an opposing playing and seemed uncharacteristically nasty, boasting about wages.

This has obviously put everyone on high alert but in reality, there is only about 5 clubs in Europe that could actually afford the fee without falling foul of FIFA financial fair play initiative.

Manchester United are amongst the clubs with the cash available and they have expressed an interest Neymar would apparently prefer a switch to Real Madrid. Real president Florentino Perez is open to the idea and would stump up the cash needed.

Not many players make the move from Barca to Real, or indeed vice versa, with Luis Figo being the notable exception. Would Neymar be a success at Real? How would this affect Spanish football? Time will tell if there is anything to the rumors.
