Man Utd Transfer News: Van Gaal out, Ibrahimovic in? Zlatan reportedly waiting for Mourinho

Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is eager to join Man Utd if Louis Van Gaal leaves the club in the summer. Sky Sports claims that the Swedish international has refused to play for the Dutch manager as he shares a strained relationship with him.

In his 2011 autobiography, Zlatan suggested that he shared a troubled relationship with Van Gaal, when he was the technical director at Ajax. The 34-year-old’s current contract with PSG runs out in summer, and he is expected to move to a new club.

He has previously claimed that he has offers from multiple Premier League clubs, but hasn’t decided yet where will he be plying his trade next season. Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham are other Premier League clubs that have been linked with a move for him.

Sky sources now suggest that he will consider a switch to Old Trafford this summer if Mourinho is in charge as the pair are close because of their time at Inter Milan. Van Gaal recently suggested that Ibrahimovic might be too old to figure in his plans at Old Trafford.

He said: “I think it is unbelievable what he is doing. I saw the game against Manchester City, and it was a big disappointment for me because he should have scored two times at least. Paris Saint-Germain is Zlatan, and that is fantastic. When a manager like me, who favours the team, is saying that, that is a compliment for him. You never know. I cannot say anything about that subject. He’s already 34.”
