Manchester United Set To Complete £30m Transfer Deal, £75,000-A-Week On The Way

David De Gea’s situation at Manchester United has been somewhat long-drawn, with manager Louis van Gaal saying last week that the goalkeeper will stay at Old Trafford this summer.

However, the Red Devils are set to finally give in to De Gea demands as the Spain international will reportedly complete a move to Real Madrid before the close of the summer transfer window.

As per Metro, De Gea’s representatives are certain that a £30m deal will take their client from Manchester United to the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday. Although the 24-year old has not really spoken publicly about his desire to leave Old Trafford, he is yet to feature for Louis van Gaal’s side this season, with new signing Sergio Romero performing brilliantly in the Spaniard’s absence.

Reports filtered in yesterday that De Gea has enlisted super agent Jorge Mendes to help him sort out his move from United and it seems the Portuguese agent is already working wonders. The Metro cite the Daily Mirror who believe a bid around £30m will be accepted by the Red Devils in the next few days for the transfer saga to finally come to an end.

De Gea’s compatriot Victor Valdes is also on the verge of ending his miserable spell at Man United, with Besiktas the 33-year old’s next destination. The former Barcelona icon had a fall-out with van Gaal and the Dutch boss stated that the goalie will be leaving the club as he did not follow philosophy – Valdes failed to play with the club’s Under-21.

Meanwhile, United travel to the Liberty stadium on Saturday to face Garry Monk’s Swansea City and De Gea is still expected to miss out of the game. The Red Devils lost in the home and away fixtures against the Swans last term, and they will be looking to beat Monk’s troops to all three points tomorrow.
