Manchester United Set to Sign the new Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United have been linked with Braga’s Portuguese forward Rafa Silva and have already prepared a £15.5 million bid to secure his services, according to reports. It is reported that United could sign the 22-year-old forward if Jose Mourinho happens to take the managerial job from current gaffer Louis van Gaal.

Silva, who has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo, is currently one of the promising youngster in Portugal. Any forward from Portugal who may sign for United has a heavy responsibility on his shoulder in the wake of the exploits of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rafa Silva, however, might just have abilities to fit in Luis Nani’s shoes and perhaps reflect Ronaldo’s reputation after staying at Old Trafford for some time. Silva was in action on Wednesday as his side faced FC Sion in the Europa league.

The 22–year-old helped his side edge through to the next round of the Europa League after a 2-2 draw in the second leg against FC Sion. They had previously recorded a 2-1 victory in the first leg fixture that ensure safe progress to the round of 16.

He was involved I the decisive moment of the tie, providing the assist for Nikola Stoiljkovic to score the crucial equalizer in the 48th minute.
There is no doubt united fans will be pleased if they land a player who can save their goal-shy attacking squad and help them reclaim their glory next season.
